Since Saturday afternoon I am in Trento at the Doctoral Training programme of ECT*. At a first glance, I enjoy the scenery. It's a long time since I looked out of the window and saw some mountains, real mountains. Very beautiful. All this comes together with a nice Italian town, a trickling water pipe and a TV set where the channel button controls the volume and the volume button controls the channels. Berlusconi controls all of them anyway, but yesterday night I watched the Lord of the Rings in Italian. (My excuse for watching TV is: It helps in improving the language skills.)
I look forward to get my bike, because my legs get jumpy at the sight of some streets climbing up the hills.
The institute itself is in a quite lovely old villa with frescoes at the walls quite a different style from Adlershof.
