Kbh highlights

I don't know whether I ever left this list here but my personal favourite places in Kbh are (sitting in my second living room in Berlin is the right place to do it)

Christiania because without it Kbh ist just another of these boring null acht fuffzehn European midsize towns: a little pretty, a little state sponsored culture but very much convinced of its importance.
the water front, well it's lot of water and some nice modern buildings.
Nørrebrogade, because it feels like in a different place, colourful and urban.

Of course out of these Chrstiania is unfortunately under pressure, because at the moment the Danish state (the owner of the grounds there) is very much on the keep-it-clean-and-make-money-out -of -it side. Check out here how many and what nice buildings they want to tear down.

My name is Magdalena Luz. I grew up in Switzerland. I studied physics at Humboldt University Berlin, where I used to live in "Nordkapstrasse" (North Cape street). That's how this blog got its name. After a short intermezzo in Copenhagen, DK, I live now in the amazing city of Wuppertal. This is a place the wild, wild West of Germany, built on 7 hills, (which is really the only thing it has in common with Rome) It is populated by the strange species of homo germanicus occidens communis, also known as 'gemeiner Wessi'. And even with her it is light years away from ever being like Berlin.
