I don't really understand what's going on. Why should it be threat of the "freedom of press", if a (bad) magazine is not allowed to publish photographs of the girlfriend of a (bad) musician? This is the most uninteresting thing you could publish. It doesn't lead to any good, but the girl apparently doesn't want here picture in the newspaper. Fair enough. So what? There are many more threatening things, especially if you kept an eye on what was going on in the press, concerning some political events in the last weeks. To me it seems, the biggest threat comes from the press itself, who does too often not follow a critical line, does not verify the information they get, but instead gets lulled by the authorities or blindly writes whatever is in agreement with the standard prejudice of the people. Hanging around at the beach in Kühlungsborn, getting a massage and a nice drink, having a chat over freedom of press and then writing down whatever Mrs. Merkel and Mr. Kavala tells you. Go ahead, guys.

Well yes, I know, it's just another stupid spiegel online article and that magazine really is bad, very bad and getting worse it seems. Bildzeitung for intellectuals.
