I guess I won't be able to watch
the game. The only channel I know, that will broadcast it is
SF2, and I don't know anybody who does get it here. I must admit I didn't try very hard. But at least I bet on Thun. Most probabely I will be 5 Euros poorer by tonight, but who knows.

Man moege sich nur mal diesen Satz auf der Zunge zergehen lassen:
"Ausländer sollen ihren deutschen Pass abgeben (...)"
Staatskunde 6, setzen.
Das Traurige ist, dass dieser Satz den meisten wohl gar nicht als ein Widerspruch auffaellt. Er ist leider symptomatisch fuer das hiesige Verstaendnis von "Deutsch". Ein richtiger Deutscher ist blond und blauaeugig schon seit jeher deutsch gewesen. Naja, hellbraune Haare koennen wir gerade noch tolerieren.

I understand the Americans less and less. How can
this happen in a country that keeps on claiming every day that they want to bring democracy, human rights and civilisation to the world. What do they know about these things? Why don't they start by educating their on people.
Is it a necessary effect of living in a country where you can buy weapons in the supermarket, that people make use of them, in such a disgusting and egoistic way? Once waepons are at hand the beast is set free?
Maybe the situation Iraqis have to face is much closer to the American mind than I ever thought. Then of course Americans don't think that the way Iraqis have to live in their post war country to be as
unsupportable as I do.
They maybe then really think that there was an improvement compared to the Saddam area.
