Many places have a particular good which is unusually abundant. In Trento for instance, there are incredibly many opticians. Of course in absolute number there are still much more clothes stores or ordinary supermarkets, but there are definitely more opticians than in another average town of that size. In Cadiz, if I remember correctly after several years, its shoes. And here in Copenhagen its, ok bikes but this you would expect, paint. There are tons of shops selling paint, just that. Not
these huge homeworker markets where you get everything from hammers to paint to wood to flowers and car accessories. Here, they are very small and sell just paint and brushes.

What would you think if you found a box, some kind of a quickly assembled wooden box just somewhere at the street. In this box there are two half broken bicycles piled up, not really nicely put, but just thrown into it. Both of them are not locked. Hm, to me it looked like garbage and I took one. So, if ever the owner of one of them wants his bike back, please contact me.
By the way it was at Nørre Allé and the bike is a red female bike.
Major update
This is my second day in Copenhagen. On saturday I travelled first to Berlin. I must say it was very strange to come back to that town where I have lived the last year and to know that it will be only for some hours. After Trento it was especially obvious what a wonderful city Berlin in fact is.
I arrived there with my batteries very low after this two month of having constantly people stepping into my very personal realm. That's there where animals begin to feel threatened and start to bite. Civilization did not change this, it only taught us that we mustn't bite.
Berlin was very good, I saw very few but very important people and had a very nice night at
ICON's with a lot of drums and basses. That's this drug: It's loud. it's fast and it never fails in pushing you up.
On Sunday night I left for Copenhagen with the Scandinavian Express a funny night train going to Malmoe. First thing we noted when we arrived: it has only 2 coaches and none of them is number 203 for which my reservation was. It turned out that it has allways just the number of coaches to fit number of people who want to travel (provided it's not too many, since they have to fit on the ferry from Ruegen to Trelleborg) and they reallocate the beds on the fly. I got savely to Sweden and over the bridge to here. Since then I have mostly been tired and tried to get some admin done. Residence permits, bank accounts, setting up this laptop I am using right now....
Fahrradeln in Südtirol
ist eine gute Idee. Nur wenn man sein Fahrrad erst einmal hier hin und wieder von hier wegbringen will, dann geht das nicht so einfach.
Es ist allerdings nicht so einfach das Rad erstmal dahinzubringen. Man sollte sich auf alle Faelle nicht auf die Auskuenfte der
Fahrradhotline der deutschen Bahn verlassen. Die wissen anscheinend gar nix.
Es gibt naemlich einen Eurocity von Muenchen nach Bozen
(Val Gardena, Muenchen ab 17.31 Bozen an 21.37 (Sorry, kein Link, der Zug existiert nicht im
online Fahrplan der SBB und die DB hat diese alberne Session- time -out -politik) und den Nachtzug von Muenchen nach Florenz
(
Brennero, Muenchen ab 23.40 Bozen an 3.35) auf denen man Fahrraeder mitnehmen kann, wovon die Radfahrer Hotline nix weiss.
(Zurueck entsprechend Bozen ab 8.20 Muenchen an 12.26 und
Bozen ab 2.30 Muenchen an 6.31)). Die Fahrradhotline weiss nix davon, die sagen man kann die Raeder aufgeben, wovon wiederum in Bozen niemand was gehoert hat.
Der Hafas findet die Verbindungen, wenn man explizit nach Bozen - Muenchen sucht. Nicht aber, wenn man etwa nach Trento will, dann kennen sie nur noch den Nachtzug, obwohl es zumindest auf der Fahrt Richtung Norden unter der Woche einen Regionalzug (= Radtransport) gibt, der Anschluss auf den Eurocity um 8.20 Uhr hat.
Richtung Sueden, hat man keine Chance nach 21.37 weiterzukommen (ausser dem Nachtzug natuerlich). Und, wenn man nicht etwa in Muenchen bleiben will sondern noch quer durch Deutschland nach Norden reisen, dann ist das alles sowieso unangenehm, weil bekanntlicherweise bei der deutschen Bahn die einzigen Langstreckenverbindungen, die bequem (ohne Umsteigen auf jedem Kuhhaufen) mit Rad zu bewaeltigen sind, die Nachtzuege sind. Diesen tollen ICEs sei's gedankt. Das ist alles kompliziert? Yes, indeed it is. Nicht, dass die beteiligten Bahnen es einem leicht machen wuerden, weder die Reise bequem zu tun, noch die Informationen bequem zu finden.
Tut mir leid, ich lass mich per Auto nach Milano fahren und von dort bringt mich
Easyjet mit Fahrrad nach Berlin. Easyjet, der Name ist Programm: Man meldet einfach online sein Fahrrad an, kann man problemlos auch noch im Nachhinein, und ab geht's. Warum schaffen die Bahnen sowas nicht?
Warum das alles? Zum Beispiel wegen des besten Radwegs aller Zeiten: Eine huebsch asphaltierte Piste von
Kaltern nach
Bozen mitten durch den Wald, ueber Bruecken und durch schoene, in Stein gehauene 19. Jhd Tunnels, einmal ringelum um Schloss Sigmundskron.
Durch Doerfer, die alle eine Bahnhofstrasse haben, aber keine Schienen und keine Zuege (mal abgesehen von einer abgetakelten Dampflok in Kaltern) weit und breit.
In der Tat, der Fahrradweg ist die alte Bahntrasse.
