Why are there so many women doing string theory, but so few working on QCD and the standard model?
Or is this only a personal impression of mine, mislead by a highly non-representative sample?
Is this for the same reasons why there are so many more women in mathematics than in physics?
("many" of course applies relative to appropriate scale.)

What is the ratio of conjectures to truths (I mean proven things, which would mean mathematically proven since there is no inductive evidence whatsoever, and I mean really solid proofs not this kind of $\sum_i i = -1/12$ jokes) in string theory? 1:5 ?

Assume that during a football game Player M graps the T Shirt of player Z of the other team. Player Z says: "If you really want my shirt, you can have it later." That's not insulting, it's quite a good joke rather, isn't it?

Vergesst nicht, es ist nur fair: 1990 in Italien seid ihr Weltmeister geworden.
Und wenn ihr endlich mal diesen Günther Netzer aus dem TV Kader schmeisst, dann klappts auch mit dem Weltmeister werden. Werdet schon sehen, eine Landplage ist der!
